Trivia
- The cartoon was based on the novel 'Around the World in Eighty Days' by Jules Verne.
- Episodes 14, 18, 21 & 22 were deleted from the Japanese series run.
- On 28 April 1988, Children's BBC held a 'National Willy Fog Day' where presenter Andy Crane sent copies of the song lyrics to children who requested them, for a mass sing-a-long of the theme tune.
- The English-language dub of the series re-uses the music from the original Spanish version, but with new, English lyrics similar to the Spanish ones. The tunes are still 'sung' by the characters, but the singing voices are not provided by the actors who dubbed them.
